Yeah it sits in there really nice. Wait till I get my Rotrex and intercooler in there too.

What radiator is that may i ask?

Ive been thinking of a smaller radiator and that looks like a great fit.

The problem with the B18 manifold is that its probably quite bulky will probably hit either the brake booster, or chassis rails. Same with the Skunk2 Pros. The Skunk2 Ultra Street or Race are the only ones I could find that would fit in without major dramas moving stuff. There are other intakes like the Magnus ones as well, but like the Skunk2 Race manifold are designed for 9000+ rpm.

I'd be interested to see if the B18 manifold fits in.

It's an ASI Honda 3-core radiator... It was around $140 including the shroud and fan. I made a custom radiator bracket. I think you need to have a good reason to do it TBH. I did it cause it was nice and light and cheap but was very lucky that my car runs cool. I also run a coolant reroute, no heater, no thermostat and an oil cooler. Somehow my cooling system works and is balanced where it doesn't overcool. If it's a streetcar with A/C I don't think the smaller radiator would work.

Mark, Mishimoto make a great 1/2 radiator for the EG and EKs...in fact, there is a used one for sale. However, I'm usually reluctant to buy used from the Honda boys unless I know them.

There are too many "it's in like brand new condition cuz" and try to sell it for 15% off brand new price. But if you are trying to sell it, the only want to pay 15% of the brand new price, haha!

Dyno results are in...

Solid Line is E85
Dashed Line is 98 octane (95 Ron?)
Red overlay is the stock manifold (*Estimated from previous dyno - Dec 2014)

The engine really needed to run to 8500 rpm to get max power, it was still ramping up above 8000... reving to 8200 on the dyno was high enough for me.

My old IM (red line) made pretty much 180HP @7800 with a dead linear power curve. It tailed off above 7800 and had nice rounded top. Torque curve was very flat but trailed off at the upper revs.

New Honda manifold combined with very large cams causes a lot of manifold pressure fluctuations throughout the curve. This made tuning very difficult and you can see the lumps still final dyno graph. The Honda manifold looks really good from the 6250 through to 8200 where it has really flattened off the power graph. At 6750 I think I'm making over 40HP more than stock manifold (50HP on e85). The highest we saw on the various runs was around 215HP on e85.

All up this is much better than I had expected. Given I'm reving between 6000-8000 in most events this should give me a lot more power than previous.

Next event is this weekend so I'll report back once I've actually dríven the car.

Nice result, you can see the harmonic dips and the best news is the 3rd at around 5,750.

Nice result. From 4500 and up it's a winner. Doubt there's many (any) tracks where you would drop below 4500.

So, was the 40hp gain from cams and manifold or just from the manifold?

All gains are just from manifold and throttle body. I also upgraded injectors but that shouldnt impact on the dyno results.

I doubt you'd see these results on a stock engine. On my engine the restriction was the stock NA8 manifold. The head was ported, larger inlet and exhaust valves, huge cams and 3" exhaust.

Also most tracks I run on revs are between 6000 and 8000... it rarely drops to 5500 or under unless I've stuffed up. I run a 6 speed and 4.1 diff. I have a 4.7 to put in when i get some spare time which will make even closer. Who needs to pay for gym when you dont have PS and have to row through the gears!

Thanks... you're e85 thread got me going on this path. I'm really liking e85, a cheap way to get 6-7% across the board. Might even work better on a less developed engine were timing can be advanced more.
