Wow  wow  wow  wow  wow!

After installing the 4 wire (heated) O2 sensor last night, NMX516 and I did some testing. Sheeeesh. It goes like a scaulded cat. The bogging I got when the O2 sensor wasn't up to temp is now gone, the rough idle is gone, the torque is up (due to timing map working correctly with map sensor installed) and it feels FANTASTIC. 8)

I'm going to have to chew my chinese tyres up quick smart so I can replace them with something that is going to hold me to the road! :?

I'm so pleased with the result for the outlay of $$$. Because I was able to collect parts slowly, the only thing I will go into debt for is the diff which I'm going to have to replace soon. (Which will cost half as much as the TOTAL turbo install cost! )

Still to do: build a cat-back exhaust system, weld in the WideBand O2 sensor bung and install the sensor. Up the boost. 8)

I have to keep some secrets... 8)

Honestly, if I tried to do a write up I'd forget most of it, and the bits I could remember wouldn't be that interesting. I did heaps and HEAPS of research on www.miataturbo.net and on the internet. You can find heaps of build threads and sites from over the last 17 years, so there is no shortage of information if you look for it.

Sorry to disappoint. :frown:

Thanks for the kind words guys... PT - you know where I live. Anytime mate!

Its cool...

I am hitting miataturbo a lot lately 8)

I just have to filter through a lot of info there (most of which is irrelevant)...

We all have to keep some secrets :)

Yours would be an awesome car to drive IMO...

Congrats

Yes - I actually knew Boags was on the boost trail long before many others here when I saw him lurking around Miataturbo, but was sworn to secrecy.....

Quite a bit of parts sharing, swapping stories, and now seeing who gets the best smile..... :)
