I made a clutch install thread a while back, there is a pic of my act flywheel somewhere, I think my flywheel was 4.239 kg in comparasion stock is almost double at 7.803 kg. the moi "moment of inertia" is even less again because all the weight was removed off the peripheral edge with giant holes near the edge of the flywheel. This calculation is probably more important than the total mass because it's the moi that really gives you the rev happy feeling.

I found a clutch install easier and more straight forward than a timming belt change.... Maybe you could give it a go??

I don't have tools nor the space to perform such a task :( so must spend money on the installation.

I'm choosing exedy hd bc it will last longer than oem and I'm sure IF I sell my car having a exedy HD clutch will be a better sales pitch than oem

Well I went with the OEM Exedy.. Like the conclusion you seem to be coming to I saw no reason to spend any more money with my 70rwkw as there is no benefit. The clutch bites nice and hard and is nice and progressive to use. I bedded it in with a lot of highway driving last time I went up to Sydney which was probably good for it and was generally easy on it for a while and since then it's done 2 track days and the equivalent of 4 motorkhanas and feels fantastic!!

Not always.

I would personally steer clear of a relatively unmodified car with a heavy duty clutch.

My first thoughts would be "oh god, what has this guy been doing to the car that he thinks it needs a HD clutch? Drifting? Burnouts? general abuse?"

I would just go for the OEM equivalent (unless you do a lot of things that are hard on the clutch, such as motorsport)

The clutch in my car (the old OEM one) lasted 110,000km, and even when removed it still had life left in it.
(by the end it was slipping only under heavy sudden loads, ie: when doing skids)

Mmm...I'm not so sure I would be paying more for something that I can't see / know the condition of, just because it's "branded".

i agree with your first thoughts bc i would have them too, but if the reason he/I installed the exedy hd clutch is bc it will last longer and is a step above oem for taking a beating id be fine with that too.
