okies i have put it all together, starts and runs fine just need to check for leaks as time goes on
thanks to all who contributed to my nagging posts hehe
burped the radiator, drove with just plain water which was all good and then drained water from the radiator to fill with coolant, after that engine got hot without radiator top hose and radiator getting hot so i assumed i have air trapped or stuck thermostat? I let it cool off and then opened cap which was full and was fine after that... as in radiator got hot before thermos etc
any tips to purging the system of air?
lastly does draining only the radiator cause an air pocket or may i have a dodgy thermostat as i thought this would be fine as i have done it before on my car and others for small jobs like a radiator top hose change etc
thanks as always
edit; FYI i did indeed use paper gaskets and permatex aviation no3 on the water pump sealing surfaces
