if you arnt looking at resale numbers just do it aftermarket.

the amount of friggin around between selling and buying would be greater than asking the people that have done it and following their footsteps.

the more shonky car dealers you can avoid in life the better :D

The Newcastle car is owned by members of the club who drive it super often and are VERY happy with it's performance fit and finish, I've discussed it woth them both a few times. It's an AVO kit with a few additional AVO goodies, very nice package and didn't break teh bank from what they tell me.

All the people talking about cars goign bang - In my experience that's usually the tune rather than the turbo kit itself - OR - as CT suggested some bad luck/bad parts, I seem to recall BJ had a bad run with his stock engine due to dodgy factory parts at some stage early in his cars developement.

If you want to check out the Newcastle I'm sure the owners would be more than happy to show you, they are regulars on Hunter Chapter and NSW club runs.

As a few have said, speak to the engineer BEFORE you spend any money!
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.

Not wanting to start a COW but I'd be wanting to hear the good and the bad stories before handing over big $$$ myself. BJ's car has aftermarket parts in his engine and it seems ok. :?

BJs car also lost an engine before it even hit the road if I remember correctly...

Go the SE
NC Roadie, NC Racey, ND Racey….and a 30AE

Plus several others in the bone yard...

BJ's problem was an injector that was continually pumping fuel in, and the engine got hydraulic lock which did end up bending a fe of the internals, but once that was fixed, it ran beautifully.

Let's be frank, the SP is just an aftermarket kit on a factory car, and it still needs further development too.

Does it actually exist yet? I've heard stories that it was coming but lots of things are coming at Mania and they never seem to actually turn up.
