Redline Shockproof is bad

Postby Hellmun » Thu May 07, 2009 11:57 pm

When I first got my car I dropped out all the fluids to replace them. I put Penrite Sin Gear oil 75W-90 in the box and that made the shifting significantly worse. I actually thought the gearbox had been damaged on the car from running this as it was incredibly hard to get it from 1st to 2nd when cold without crunching. Then occasionally I had extreme trouble putting it into 3rd on the track. Then I put in redline something...I can't remember which and it was like my syncho's had grown back on 2nd and 3rd. I havnt' changed it since as the gearbox has been excellent. Even cold I can change gears easily without crunching. I'm pretty sure it's lightweight Shockproof too. My car has seen 30,000km since I used it...Half of that would be race track kilometers.
