My old Clio 172 has a factory claimed 125kw.
Ran 100.6fwkw which by my shabby calculations is 20%?
Does FWD have a much lower drivetrain loss than RWD?

A couple of dyno operators I have used to tune the race engine in the Zed basically asked me "what horsepower would you like today?" so they should only be used as a tuning tool as others have said, and then basically for back to back testing in the same conditions and the same dyno and operator to get meaningful results.

Or you just organise a dyno shootout day.

Dweezle, yes fwd has fewer losses, one of the reasons most cars are arranged that way. Having said that, it's still down to dyno corrections.
As matt said, tuning tool and back to back comparison only really

Yesterday was hot as hell... That certainly would have impacted the number.

sounded good and revved cleanly made 67 rwkw
If we take RedBook as gospel.
Power 107kW @ 7000rpm
Torque 168Nm @ 5000rpm
Acceleration 0-100Km/h (secs) 8.4
Cam DOHC with VVT
So If my maths is correct this car is making < 63% of the claimed power, so a 37% drive-train loss ...
Is it more likely to be a softer engine, Mazda using creative accounting in the brochure from day one or a little of each ?
From this Thread another car has 75 rwkw with some basic mods so it seems believable.
