Regardless of the fuel adjustment device utilised, from piggybacks to full standalone EMS, if you ONLY adjust fuel, the power gain will always be small.

you mean as opposed to the OP's questions about the SAFC Neo?
Firstly, the Neo only controls fuel and allows for bigger injectors to be installed and calibrated. That's it.
MS has fuel AND ignition control (among other things). Tweaking both gives an exponential improvement than tweaking either one on its own.

With all things being equal, tuning fuel and igntion maps is very simple using various MS compatible software, you simply change numbers/values on a matrix/table (not unlike Microsoft Excel), to increase/decrease fuel & advance/retard ignition.

More complicated functions are, well, more complicated, but it's only when you make drastic changes like adding forced induction, changing injector size, etc. that you have to touch advance controls.
But once again, if you can get your head around the jargon and have intermediate math skills, it's all relatively straight forward.
