Yes, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. They were genuinly surprised the original exhaust lost power and were committed to getting it right. They work on some pretty serious street and track cars, just not a lot of MX5's I guess.

They have the best reputation for a reason. Most of the import cars goto them as well.
Get one of their decals ross?

so what size have they made V2?? 2.5"?
what extractors did they end up installing? are they a 4-2-1 or a 4-1? what size collector?
if its a 1.6 the 2.25 will prolly be fine for a track car if the rest of the car is stock internally. if your building with future breathing mods in mind like CAI or quads, cams, port and polish, a 2.5 straight through system with no cat and only a muffler and rez would prolly be good.
im running a 2.5inch system off at set of 4-1 extractors with a 2.5collector and i couldnt be happier performance wise, lost a fair chunk of mid but it made it all back on top end and thats on a stand internal 1.8motor just with a CAI(sounds terrible however)
another option is to get a set of 4-1 extractors with a 2.5" collector(outlet), a 2.5high flow cat going into a mid pipe that has a step down to 2.25 before going through a straight through resonator and rear muffler. if you get a resonator and muffler with a decent size body on them (not a hot dog res or a short cannon muff) it will prolly sound pretty good but still have decent flow, i was told by afew people in the know that stepping the exhaust down as it gets further back is fine as the exhaust gasses are cooling mind you 2.5 to 2.25 isnt much of a step but if you want to keep it good up top id stay at 2.25 for the final size.. the advantage of this setup is if you decide you want to make it quieter for the street you just get them to put a flange in before the rear muffler and have a second muffler in a baffeled 2" for the street and just swap that out before the track.. could even get a removable cat and resonator aswell, but id say just stick with having one part thats changeable.
just remember alot of turbo 1.8s are running 2.5" and seem happy so.. a mild 1.6 mighten need all that breathing room

Went for 2.25", I'm not sure what brand the extractors are, there 4-2-1 and I'm pretty sure the collector was 2" but i think he was going to modify it. It has a hi flow cat and lukey muffler, no hotdog. The car is an na NA6 with pod filter and cams done. I'll jack it up tomorrow and have a good look at it. The new system sounds much better, it's less raspy. Lets hope the power and torque figures are back up.

Applause for the exhaust shop.
This is what service should be like. They obviously know how to run a business and maintain and gain customers. Hope the new system works well.

New exhaust = less power :(
I picked up the car on Thursday night, my initial thoughts were it felt really good, torque and power were back. Had it on the dyno on Friday and it was close but down about 1kw in the mid range and down on torque a little across the range. But after todays track day I can say the cars better than ever, it felt great, performance was up from last time I was out and my lap times are down. Very happy with the new exhaust.
