Have used Lambros from hitech on another car, C&C's SE had his downpipe with HFC and muffler done by hitech, he did a nice job.

I have the same one that makes the same sound! sounds farkin cheap at that point but sh*t its nice at full noise! With the exhaust and a k and n intake it made 87rwkw. Now makes 137rwkw with supercharger kit on 6psi.

Yep, that's how I would describe it. Like a crappy, badly sorted, Hyundai, buzz box, rattly kinda sound. I hate that part about the zorst, but I can live with it for the other noises it makes which are just georgeous and crisp. Very "sportscar"

Don't get me wrong. I rarely ever hear the sound, cause I just don't accelerate on those revs often, or for very long. It's only really evident when taking off from lights with a very light acceleration, so perhaps I hear it 2-3 times on a trip.

I look forward to that. It would save me crawling under the car looking for a leak that isn't there, but Arthur does say it's normal

Just went for a drive for lunch :D
It only occurs between 2250 and 2500rpm under WOT.

That's why I rarely hear it.

Anyone got the full SMB exhaust system available from Mania?

I am looking at doing my exhaust this summer, looking at a slightly wider diameter pipe, hi flow cat and headers for better power mid to high range.

I have an SMB (SP motorsports) on the SE, downpipe with HFC, mid pipe and muffler.

You can purchase any of there systems directly.

I bought one 2 months ago and it cost $300..I didn't ended up installing it on my car cos' I sold it to someone else. From quality wise, you won't be dissapointed with it...especially now that they dropped the price to $200!!!

$200 + shipping sounds like a good deal. Anyone had experience with this muffler?

Yep Stu has it on his car and he seems happy with it. It is essentially a copy of Racing Beat muffler, for the price...its pretty hard to beat.

I have Jackson Racing headers, standard cat and mid pipe (about to be changed) and the SMB muffler.

System works well with my Mania intake, though it is a little loud and ear plugs are required for long trips ie: Syd - Melb.

..and as mentioned there isnt much difference between the factory and aftermarket exhausts -

... andsome sound - link. Not 100% sure what exhaust parts i had installed at the time of the recording.(right click, save target as)
