??? Can you elaborate on how this was done? It doesn't sound plausible to me, but I'm happy to be corrected.

Car 1
AVO manifold, gt2871R (had small front housing not the 4 inch one), 540cc injectors, walbro pump, AVO cooler pipes, custom cooler, custom dump pipe microtech ecu, extrudehoned intake manifold, stock head/bottom end.

Car 2
AVO manifold, Garrett T28 based turbo (cannot be sure of exact specs but internal gat T28 flange, big 0.7 ar front, .86 rear) 600cc injectors, link plus, custom dump pipe, AVO cooler and pipes, all stock internal head and bottom end.

Both made between 200-210rwkw.

Car one was daily dríven, but generally on 10-12psi where it only made about 170kw.

Car two was also daily dríven, and dríven a lot harder, cooked a few stock bottom ends before the owner opted to build an engine rather than justkeep replacing them.

Interstingly they were breaking in teh middle of the rev range, I suspect it was peak torque breaking them, not peak power.

Fairly sure Tyrone (Drift fury on here) also saw over 200rwkw from his 1.6 turbo on stock internals, he was using a fancy twin wastgated subaru turbo IIRC.

Right, so they weren't really what I'd consider a stock engine. Although the engines themselves were stock, modifications had been done to increase performance.

Was starting to wonder whether it was possible to have (my definition of) a stock engine pulling that much power...

LOL, perhaps internally stock was more appropriate.
