Ticking sound

I have the ticking as well.
when it ticks it tells me that its service time.

To me it sounds like the lifters.

After a couple thousand K's after service they tick when starting up or after the car has been running for a while, turned off and then back of again or after about a 10 minute period of idling is when it stays on for a while.

Not much can be done about it so I am told.
Either live with it and change the oil when you are supposed to or get the lifters replaced which I am told can be quite expensive.

The cars in this thread don't have lifters though - both NB models.

wow i hope i dont have to service it every 3000kms! :shock: :D
ive noticed that if i really putt around it takes ages for the ticking to begin but if i hoon a little it starts real quick...
will get mania to check it for me this week and let yous know what they reckon...
