If it includes installation of the cams then that's pretty good I reckon.

I spent $750 on the cams, $300 on the install, $450 on the SAFC and $90 on the tuning, but it costs more for a full standalone ecu of course.

Picked it up on Friday night and I am amazed;it feels as though it has had an engine transplant!! More power, tracability, better throtle response, super smooth and just wants to rev.

Going up the hill from Lorne to Deans marsh the corners were coming up so quickly it was hard to believe.

While the power is great I am even more impressed by the drivabilty. Still idles at 800 rpm but with a slightly cammy feel,, has a slightly more guttral induction sound, crisper exhaust and is quieter at cruise. It is perfectly happy idling along in peak hour traffic or being given a real workout.

Totally rapt!!

Anthony at Maztech of Melbourne has a great reputation and on my experience it is well deserved.

My costing was slightly out;$945 for NEW Tighe 805c cams(Inc freight)$2017 at Maztech with the Microtech, cambelt kit and seals.

I know lots of people would question this cost versus turbo but I reckon(as I think Barbalouie has said before)that the cams and ECU make it into what it should have been all along;it is smoother than a 1.6 with heaps of grunt.

If someone can host the dyno sheets for me please pm me with your email adress,

Peter.

They work fine, and make more power than stock.

do they fit fine without modding to the head?

damn man, i'm tempted.

thinking about this with Apexi Neo.

would cam gears do much?

thanks

The Tomei cams were developed in conjunction with Maruha Motors so they should work just as well. Cam gears might not do that much...I've got them too, but they are just set at the factory position, because that's what Tomei recommended! :D
