Hi Guys, Just completed the new wiring harness, for the Elite 750, engine was started on a base map and ready for the dyno.
Engine specs; Track only BP4W, standard internals. Has a 4-1 exhaust, 610 injectors and runs solely on E85. That's it for now.
QUESTION; I was going to throw some new plugs in it before the dyno tune.
Any recommendations? eg standard, iridium, hotter, colder???

Not e85, but I'm using Iridium plugs and found they helped cold start and reduced the chance of flooding back when I had the Adaptronic.
Apparently the narrow almost needle like tip helps it spark under non-ideal conditions.
Of course, a better ECU and better tuner would have been more help at the car not flooding.....
I'd talk to the tuner, ask what the recommend/prefer, since they'll presumably have done it before on other cars and have likely seen a lot more setups that work/dont work.

I used a hotter one for NA exclusive on E85
I read somewhere that to take advantage of the timing a hotter plug on NA is better......
unsure of any scientific proof either way

In most the NA race motors we'll run a BKR8E-11 (the 11 is just the gap, 1.1mm). These are too cold to run around on the street, so I swap between the 5s and the 8s.
With a standard bottom end though, 5s or 6s will likely be fine.
Don't spend money on fancy plugs, the NGKS are great value for money, and will costs around $5 each. If you decide to run the 8s, I have found the best place to get them is sparesbox.
Stan, you don't get too much of a gain in ign timing with a standard engine and e85, as most of the map isn't knock limited. You get a bit of a bump from the higher octane.

With a 0.8mm gap.

Dann, yes we are very close, i'll gap some BKR6E to .8mm and put them in.
