Idler Pulley Nut

Postby Wolfgang » Thu Dec 28, 2017 7:44 pm

Can anyone tell me if there is a special nut required for the idler pulley that the air conditioner belt uses on a non power steer car? Mine decided to set itself free (explains the squeaking) and I have no idea what was there to start with. I've googled but all I get is answers in regards to pulleys for superchargers or aftermarket parts.

Yeah, just had a look at one of these pulleys, & nut appears to be part of a silver one piece thin metal cover on the front of the pulley.

Thanks Club, had a feeling you were going to be the one with an answer.

Hopefully I can track one down without having to buy a new tensioner kit.
