Gearbox oil 85w-140 ok to use?

Na8 - service manual says to use SAE 90 for manual transmission. But I already have some 85w -140. Would it be ok to use instead? Thanks

NA8 Owner's Manual from Mazda says to use 75W-90 right across the temperature range, or 80W-90 for above 10 degrees celsius only.
