Nb Cam cover

Postby vfrpete » Thu Jun 04, 2015 9:40 pm

Hi, I'm looking to get a cam cover so I can paint it, what other cars used the same engine as a 2001 nb so I can search the wreckers. Thanks :

AFAIK, the cam covers on the B6 and BP engines were unique to the MX-5.

Unfortunately the 2001 NB8B covers were pretty much unique because of the VVT solenoid thing.

The earlier MX5 covers were shared with Ford Laser/Capri, Mazda 323/Astina, and a few other Mazdas.
Each one had a slightly different look to the cover, none were identical to the MX5 (but they still fit)

covers from a 1.6 wont fit a 1.8 and vice versa.
A fair few Lasers were also single cam, which certainly wont fit.
