Hey guys,
I want to gather as much info about my car (Mx5-89A 1993 model) which i've possessed for just over 5 months and find out what my options are on turbo charging or adding extra power (without the turbo) to the vehicle. As my user name states, I'm an absolute noob to the understanding of vehicles and its technical mechanics and will try my best with my basic knowledge what is it you guys are saying (lol)
What i want to do is add minimal turbo or add extra power without throwing so much $$$ on it. From what i know i cant slap on a turbo with having to add all the support mods which may cost $5000-7000. After gathering a few info from some car enthusiasts, i may have an option of going second had and adding "minimal boost" with range of 7-8psi to the vehicle which can or could cost me around $1,500-2,500.
I definitely want to do it the RIGHT way and keep my vehicle safe as possible without spending so much on the car. My budget is $2-2500. Can sombooooodeh please help ?
(I'm located in Sydney, so if anyone knows or recommends any mechanics/workshops send their digits my way !)

Re: Minimum Boost on a Mk1
I think my natural aspirated build whilst giving the power you want may not fit within your budget.
Read some of nitrodanns posts on building a low cost turbo.
