Engine Seals

Postby SaM » Wed Apr 01, 2015 10:52 am

Hi all,

Quick question. Taking out the motor to redo the sump seals. Ive done the Mania timing belt and water pump kit so the cam and crank (front and Back) seals have been done. My question is, what else is worth doing/easy to replace once the motor is out? Car is an NB8A.

Thanks!

If you still have the box off it's worth checking the coolant hoses at the back of the head. The little one from the head to the oil cooler body goes soft, bulges near where it joins to the head and then blows when you're 500km from home on a dark and stormy night.
