Thompson oil filter relocation kit angle

Postby Roadrunner » Thu Aug 21, 2014 9:31 pm

Hello,
The previous owner installed a Thompson filter kit which works great.
Only every time I open the bonnet my OCD kicks into overdrive when I see it on the angle.
Iv googled and this is how it is supposed to be installed, its all correct.

what I'm getting too is this kit has a fitting to add a sensor (temp) which is near the silver bolt at the front, but because of the angle the base is designed to be on, the sensor would point straight at the radiator.
I can't find any photos on the net of this kit with a sensor attached. Has anyone on here got this kit with a sensor attached?
Is it possible to mount the base square with the frame rail given the angle the hose outlets are designed for?
