Hey, I recently picked up a MSPNP for my NA6 from the forums, and im in the process of setting up a VTPS from an RB30.

After it was all finished and installed, the ECU wasnt reading it..
i checked the TPS before i started anything and it seems to be working alright, but checking the standard harness i found nothing across all 3 wires, rather than a +5v.
would this mean there is an issue with the wiring/ECU setup?
The car ran fine with the standard ECU, so i dont think there would be a wiring issue, but i will check that if i know where to look..
i found this to see if i can find where to check, but im not sure if the TPS +5v comes straight from a dedicated terminal on the ECU.

100 dollars that the jumper for VTPS enabled is not in.
Open the case, look at the end of the board where the serial cable is, and in the middle there are a bunch of pins that point up, next to each other in pairs.
These are some of the options that you can select. The VTPS jumper is supposed to be installed where it says VTPS enable but on my last 3 it wasnt.
This is a picture of a jumper pin on some pins.
You just have to bridge the two pins to select the option. You can most easily do this by soldering a little bridge between them, or taking a pin from an unused option.
Here is a picture of a different jumper on the same ecu.
This one can be moved to the VTPS pin, you wont use this option.

I just ripped up my carpet and cracked it open to see that it looks considerably different inside, and i couldnt find anywhere for jumpers to go..
I have a feeling this is because mine is an MSPNP 1.3 with 3.57 i think it was, and i think i need to mod it for VTPS from what i just read up. I will try and look around for what has to be done for this when i have a bit more free time, unless somebody has a link i can use

Mspnp means it is an ms1 and not a ms2
Check with DIY auto tune boys in the USA about what you need to do.
