Braided clutch line length

Postby Tight wad racers » Mon Mar 10, 2014 5:31 pm

Finally sorted the clutch master and slave cylinder woes.
May replace existing hard and flex lines with a single braided hose, any recommendations on length to use?

Length of rubber hose + length of hardline (or the distance needed when you ignore the weird spirals)
Order a little longer than needed, any excess can be clipped out of the way, but if it doesn't reach you're stuffed.

For my NA had one made up to exact length of the stock units.
The guy at ENZED said that is the best way as Mazda must have put in those "weird spirals" for a reason.

For my NB I will be getting the one from MX5 plus, as its much cheaper than getting one made up.

Also for the people who don't know already...you can make the hardline that OEM fit between the master > slave and delete the rest.

Cost $0.
