Nahh then we'd all be driving front wheel drivers (or all wheel drives), where's the fun in that!
Next club event i'll take a look at your car and see if I can offer any other suggestions to help keep the temps down.
You can add some foam rubber to block the gaps at the front and sides of the radiator and between the fans and the radiator.
There's also few different versions of this ..

If you're on a budget a bit of contact or duct tape could block those gaps and have a similar effect.

Nicky ; do you have a proper water temp gauge?
i know in my car 5 hard laps around collie , on a 38°C day and my temp gauge in the dash will rise to about 3/4 but when i look at my ecu log it will be around 92°C to 100°C.
remember the gauge in the dash is just idiot gauge.
as for fixing it , the under tray(what Dan said) , front tray to the intercooler also you could do the reroute
but in saying that
my car doesnt have a reroute and its fine to race around all day but when its a hot day (anything over 32°C) heat soke will play a huge roll with turbo cars, and any car for that matter.
just some food for thought.

I will definately get that tray on and pop to clarke rubber and see what I can get from there to fill the gaps.
Yes Mr Bender, maybe I should look at a temp gauge to get a more accurate temp reading, and recommendations?

the Adaptronic interface one Okibi has suggested looks good!
but any autometer water temp would be my pick. (cheap and simple)
the next thing to keep a eye on in racing in the hot weather is oil temp.
As oil get hot it gets thinner which means you need to keep a eye on the oil pressure gauge aswell,
if the oil is getting hot the pressure will drop.
but i still think it was heat soke.

WIth any autometer gauge sure you get an electronic version not a mechanical.

I'd been warned against cheap auto meter stuff, with reports they weren't very accurate.

Hi guys, just to chime in, the PLX interface is something we did for the guys that want it; we don't make any money on those boards and in fact I released the schematic for them for people that want to make their own. Really it shouldn't need an interface board but the PLX uses TTL serial instead of RS232, and needs 8V and 3.3V supplies instead of 12V so we needed to provide regulators for those.
With my PLX gauge that I bought for testing, it wouldn't remember the unit selection. I checked out one on the demo stand at SEMA and that did, so maybe mine was just faulty.
The other alternative is a full race dash but obviously that's a lot more money.
The standalone Autometer gauge is obviously simpler to hook up but doesn't give you the flexibility of watching other variables.
As I said we don't make any money on those PLX interface boards and I'm not pushing any one solution!

Cross flow radiator is the best option to keep it cool.
