nb fuel issue

Postby narita » Mon Apr 01, 2013 5:51 pm

Last weekend I gave the car a decent service including fuel filter,

Since then I have had two occasions in which the car has gone into lunatic mode acting as though it is on two cyls.

This issue recovers after a decent rev, both these times the tank was above half.

I am guessing it would be the fuel pump as the new filter has the pump woking properly again.

Does anyone have any experience with this issue?

if you replaced the in tank filter, then check that is ins't all bent up inside the tank. lots of previous issues with this setup.

I replace the fuel filter underneath the car not in tank if that helps

Might just be that the lines are empty after the change.

If that's the case it should clear up after a decent drive to pump fuel through again.

Mr kansai, thanks for the advice though when this problem first appeared it was on a 450km drive.

I have narrowed it down to being a misfire though am unsure how to check who th culprit is.
