Hi everyone, i have just come across something very interesting which i have never seen before.
Its a 1.8L NA8 engine in a 1.6 car, with the 1.6 non variable tps tb directly bolted to the manifold!!
they have very carfully ground away the edge of the intake mani where the NA6 tb throttle wheel fouls against the side.
the top 2 holes in the tb bolt directly to the inlet mani, and i believe they enlarged the bottom 2 holes to also line up with the NA8 inlet mani spacing.
very ingenious, saves that stupid FM adaptor.
but most importantly retains nearly stock idle speed control.
I will get a pic tomorrow.
Is this a common thing??
1.6 > 1.8 no throttle body adapter!
