Diff Info??????

Postby alexpav » Tue Jul 31, 2012 5:14 pm

Hey all

What diff came standard in an Aussie delivered 95 NA8? open? LSD?

What year did they start coming standard with LSD T1? T2?

Trying to work out what my car has, and what wrecks I should look for to pinch a diff from!

Cheers
Alex

All Aussie delivered NA8A's had a 5 speed and 4:1 diff, the last time Mazda got the gearing right in Aus as far as I am concerned!!All were open diffs except for the Clubman that had the same ratio but with a Torsen LSD.

Any NB lsd will fit into the NA8A housing but I think the only NB's with LSD's standard here were 10AE's and SE's.Diffs are available from all the usual places here though, most from Jap cars.

Well worth the effort and cost to get one from my experience.

Ditto to Peter's reply.
Don't get the SE one with the 3.63 ratio unless you already have too much HP to keep your tyres from frying.
