Thats what we charge in Canberra but We do ALL the water hoses at the same Time
maybe we are to cheep

$1187 - was expecting worse from a main dealer. $335 for labour - not bad. Makes you wonder why everyone seems to to think it's a $1000 job from a specialist when you can source the parts way cheaper than those main dealer parts prices though.

not everyone thinks it is a $1000 job. but some owners are dealership snobs, and think the world of dealership service departments. if you look through the 1st or 2nd page of the engine section, you may find an interesting thread with the pro and cons for dealership vs local mechanic workmanship and costings.

I'll get http://www.mx5mania.com.au/product1833.htm and an oil filter too, then get my mechanic to do all the fluids. Anything else i should get done, cause i dont want to have to go back to the mechanic any time soon after this service.
