Re: I.L. Motorsports C A I
I bought mine directly from IL Motorsport in Germany. Good service and fair price. Shoot them an email.
BTW, VAT is not included on the sale price to Australian buyers. You'll also need a gas strut kit to hold the bonnet up as the rod is removed as part of the install.

Thank you for the reply. Yes I already have the bonnet struts installed on my car.
Thanks again.

Goodwin Racing sell it too (US$419):

I'd be interested in some impressions if you end up getting it, or from you too Tony. I've been looking at intakes on and off for awhile and the IL was one of the potential candidates. Things like noise, performance etc.

Re: I.L. Motorsports C A I
Just finished installing the C A I, only had time for a short run so far. My impressions are that the car runs slightly smoother and it has quicker reponse.
The intake air is only slightly lower here in FNQ, but any decrease in temp has to be a good thing.
Will report further as I get a chance to put more miles up.

Cool, make sure you take some photos or a video to show the difference in intake noise.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: I.L. Motorsports C A I
As far as I can tell there is no increase in intake sound as it is using my existing K&N filter.
From first impressions it seems to work better at 50kph and up.
My exhaust seems to have a deeper sound but that could just be me.
I will take some photos tomorrow.

John, I noticed you're in Cairns. Are there many MX5 people up your way?
We are coming up for a short break at the end of April, if you want to say hi.
Driving up the coast road to Port Douglas, top down at sunset, must be something you'd never get tired of...

There are a few 5's here but there is no organized runs as yet.
I am always ready to meet fellow 5 owners.
Let me know when you will be here and we can work something out.
Driving to Port is great any time. Ha ha ha.
