If it has a normal amount of pre-load an 18mm will cause wheel lift on most round-abouts (my 16mm does setup just no preload) etc due to the camber of the road surface to promote drainage. A torsen will still spin an inside wheel whenever the inside wheel is unloaded, they need a little torque on both wheels for lock-up to occur so even if it was the right diff..that situation may still cause you grief.

An open which had type 1 torsen written on it.

Not happy. - will be taking back

Hellmun is the fastest n/a mx5 guy in the country, listen to him. I believe i also posted it, if you lift a wheel, the car will open diff, torsen or not. 18mm will lift every time.

Update: went down to mania, they looked back through the computer and saw that I had purchased a torsen, looked at my diff, found it was an open, apologized and refunded the difference

They asked me whether I wanted a torsen or to just refund the difference in price, I took difference, and then sold the diff

Ahhh okay...I was worried that you had taken a partial refund on a diff you never needed in the first place.

Were you not tempted to get them to fit a torsen?
