a club mechanic has done it..
he frankensteined the gearbox with an rx7 front and mx5 rear housings.
welded a new cross member extension to the original cross memeber to hold the front of the rotary block.
massaged the trans tunnel to clear the bell housing as the rotary sits the crank height higher than a 4 cyl.

thats the main bits. other things like low pressure fuel regulator for the ida carb etc etc.

ok...rotary may not be the answer....l live in brisbane...any suggestions on performance mods??? l have 1990 roadster with 1.6 help............... :oops:

Step 2: Calculate its power to weight ratio.

Step 3: Calculate the power needed to make your mx5 have the same ratio (mx5s weight and power available on wikipedia) "X".
