Under throttle body coolant hose PITA-- NA6

I've done a search , I'm 63 next week and would like to find a solution befor I die.

I've a mind to change all my coolant hoses they're 20 years old, they look and feel fine but 20 years is probably enough.

I've noticed that the one that runs under the throttle body is going to be a PITA .

Has anyone got any tips or a link to a tutorial that may make this job a little easier ?--please

Also where does the coolant go it seems to dead end at th the manifold ?

It runs into the manifold, then back out, its a heater system intended to make the car drive nicer when cold. Its unnecessary, and can be blocked off totally.

Thanks Dann , it's an NA6 and nothing comes out the end of the manifold it seems to be a blank rubber cap, I just can't figure out how any circulation is happening, it goes thermostat housing to idle control thingo , idle control thingo to throttle body and throttle body to inlet manifold inlet manifold--nowhere--that I can see anyhoo.

Flat blade screwdriver to push & break the seal of the hose, noting that the ends of the metal pipes that fit into the throttle body can corrode quite badly & become brittle.

Thanks for that , I'm good with everything except the damn coolant hose that runs from under the front of the throttle body and goes to the front of the Manifold .

I'll be installing all new hoses so if there's a ' I'm not comming off ' problem , I'll be cutting them off , I nearly stuffed a heater pipe through a stuck hose before I got wise to this particular little MX5 pecadillo.

Thanks for that , it's actualy releasing the hose clamp that sits at the manifold end of this hose thats the issue , I think I'm going to need a pair of extended narrow nose pliers to get to this , and perhaps a 15mm narrow collar ring spanner to remove the throttle body brace/bracket or whatever it is for better access , the collars on the 15 mils I have are to thick.

I don't think this one is going to be fun.
