Mazdaspeed Diff

Postby ekavaz » Sun Apr 10, 2011 4:07 pm

Hey guys,

I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience with a mazdaspeed LSD, i'm considering buying one atm. I know all the pro's and cons of clutch type diffs as well as the difference's with torsen's. I'm planning on running a turbo application so im just curious to know if it will handle around 200hp?

Yes it will ..........it will be the rest of the driveline that will be weaker...... just depends on how you set up the rest of the driveline.

Is it the NA6 one that is for sale or are you talking about an NA/NB8?

I rebuild the mazda speed (genuine Factory Mazda) LSD's and also sell them regularly as a hobby for RX7's and the other rear wheel drive mazda's which are the same size as the NA/NB8 LSD....... That is what has led me to this site.

******* ok just had alook at the for sale section. Anyway you look at it the NA6 LSD will be fine........ It will be the stub axles and crown wheel and pinion that wont hold up against 200hp and the extra torque produced by the turbo unless you drive it around very granny like. After a couple of hard take offs and a bit of playing around something will break.

I am sorry if this has upset anyone but you should know before you find out later. You really need to be looking at an NA/NB8 diff.

Thanks flycasta

When i read the ad the first time i didn't realise it was just the diff centre that was mazda speed. I might hold off and get a complete package with everything

cheers
