Piston Rings for 6B in NA (turbo listing)

Just completing a re-ring freshen up of the NA 6. My parts guy ordered in the rings for the 1.6 but when went to install they were smaller the ones removed. Further study showed that the listing Hasting had listed the rings for my model under the Turbo engine fitment. The oil control ring is 1mm larger. not sure of other differences???

Can anyone shed some light on this????

The rings sets are to 1991 3mm oil control rings and after that 4mm control rings, some list as auto only with 4mm rings????????

Trouble is, thats what the parts list say, but what you have in your motor is only known after you measure your old ones.

Trust me its a PIA. Below is the ACL parts list

(1) 4KRY/4MKRY8041 supersedes 4KRY/4MKRY2842 (3) M/PS1729 ring set suits some original models
upon consumption of all 2842 pistons. with 1.5,1.5,4.0mm rings.
M/PS1821 ring sets suit 8044 piston.
New 8041 piston uses M/PS1821 ring set with
1.5, 1.5, 3.0mm rings.
Old 2842 piston uses M/PS1729 ring set with
1.5, 1.5, 4.0mm rings.
