Speedo calibration kit

Postby ekavaz » Sun Jan 30, 2011 1:32 pm

Hi,

I'v recently purchased a a torrsen type II diff for my NA6 (replacing my old busted open 1.6) and am needing a little help concerning speed calibration.

Will my speedo be out? the torrsen has 3.9 gearing and if so where can i find a fix for the problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated Eren

You'll need to find the correct speedo drive gear (it plugs into the gearbox). Might be hard to find as I don't know if people commonly separate them.

Give MX5 Mania a call, they might have spares available.

They supplied and fitted an NB8C torsen diff into my NB8B (3.9 vs 4.1) that didn't come with the gearbox sender, but they were able to source one from their spares.
