Yesterday I managed to pick up some debris at very low speed but it still peeled back the insulated aluminium tray that fits underneath the back end of the engine and appears to have bent it so much out of shape and shredded the insulation so much that it seems beyond repair.
The insulation has NO67 embossed on it
Anyone know how much these are, how much work to fit and how important (or not) they are?

Couldn't you just fabricate one using the aluminium waffle heat shield material a lot of us use for exhaust heat shielding?
Or alternatively, look for a wrecked MX5 that hasn't made it into one of our clutches and see if you can beg, borrow, steal or acquire said part.

Is there an insulated tray?
That stuff looks like some sort of padding for the firewall or under the bonnet?

PM sent Russell, thanks. Is it just there to stop me setting fire to whatever I park on top of?
