Postby Divo » Wed Dec 16, 2009 8:54 pm

Hi

From the attached photos can anybody tell me if this is a 5 or 6 speed box. It's from a late NB vehicle.

Thanks Russel, is it possible to let some of us 'newbies' know the Tells for spotting the difference ?

I know I'm interested in learning :)

Cheers

If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour ... you're gonna see some serious s**t.

5 or 6 Speed ?

The 6 speeds have far more ribs on the casing for starters. The turret is different too but I think the 5 speed is smaller physically too - haven't had one for a while to tell by how much but pretty sure they are shorter.
