Hey,

Have u guys heard of HKS or HKS tuned NA6 1.6L engine?
I found one in a wrecker overseas. It has been fully rebuilt.
It claimed to make 180hp.
What do u guys think?

Be very careful. I remember when BOYRCR bought a supposedly built 2.0 litre stroked Mazdaspeed BP engine with supposedly everything done to it. Turned out to be pretty stock 1.8 internally with only MS extractors and add-ons. Anyway, I would stay away from used build engines from 'a wrecker overseas'. 8)

Ditto to what MX52NV stated.
Probably just means it has HKS camshafts, or cam gears. I've not heard of HKS making any other internal engine parts for an NA6 engine.

HKS don't have any tuned engine packages for the roadster.

It's probably just got some parts in it, like cams and cam gear.

Complete engines are usually from RS aizawa, Joy Fast, Maruha/Garage Hundred One, Do-engineering, Jam racing etc

rebuild it (strengthen) and turbo.
