Problem Fitting Headers (NA6)

Postby Si.G » Tue Nov 10, 2009 12:01 am

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone ever had any issues fitting after market headers? One of my water pipes is very close to (pretty much touching) one of the manifold branches.

It is this pipe - http://picasaweb.google.com.au/lh/photo/kRXSjyKhwiKZ3fjPVmoGcw?feat=directlink

Headers are here - http://picasaweb.google.com.au/lh/photo/4fmPScbtmRTpf3F7bsDqlA?feat=directlink

I am thinking just take it off and bend it a bit????

Also how does it seal with the cast mounted to the block on the left of the pic? O Ring ?

Any advice is appreciated.
Si.

Those headers look VERY familiar. Did you buy it recently?

Where is it touching? I'ts ok to bend the pipe, but I'm surprised it fouls the headers.

It is mounted via one o-ring which is VERY difficult to pull out. You would want to replace the o-ring too.

Thanks for that :)

Yes bought recently from mx5 plus I think? I guess they used to be yours - any idea what make they are? I am really happy with the craftmanship compared to many others I have seen.

Nope, not mine, but I did take a close look at them as very few come with those spring-loaded joints, and the design of the collector is top-notch.
