Oil pressure drop
For the last week or so the oil pressure gauge on my NA6 has been reading very low at idle, to the point where it gets down to zero when the oil heats up. I always check the oil and theres plenty in it. I was running Motul 8100 excess 5W-40 but changed the oil today to Nulon Hi Tech 10w-40 hoping to fix the problem which it didn't. The gauge sits between 2 and 4 when driving and only drops when idleing, in the past it never went much below 2. The gauge seems to have a bit of a nervous twitch now as well, any ideas about what could be causing this? I'm hoping the guage or sender.

Oil pressure drop
I've got 3 empty holes in my centre console that have been waiting for some gauges for a while now, might be time to do something about it I just hope its not the oil pump.

Oil pressure drop
I cleaned up the terminal on the sender and it seemed to have fixed the problem.

Oil pressure drop
Semi-related revival
I had to tee an oil feed line for the turbo kit from where the pressure sender is, and when I started the car the other night for the first time the oil pressure gauge jumped immediately to full when I switched the ignition through accessories to on, and when the engine started it dropped straight to zero... Have I refitted something incorrectly?

Tee off the oil sender?
Why not use the oil feed on the passenger side of the block?
There is also 2 oil feed holes at the back of the NA heads (next time I'm n the garage I'll snap a pic).
It sounds like the oil sender is working backwards (for want of a better description).
Has the oil line tee got a one way valve look too it?
The only other tee'd off oil feed I've seen had the T sideways, the straight through bit went to the pressure sender, while the right angle bit went to the oil hose to the turbo.
