I cant install engine mounts

cant install engine mounts??

I have unbolted 4 x 14mm nuts that hold the engin to the mounts and the 1x14mm nut that holds the mouts the the sub frame.

It jiggles it wiggles it does not come out?

I cant get the angle grinder in there to cut the the old engine mout out

Im a little lost Ive tried a crow bar and a hammer but to no avail....

Do you have to do both sides at the same time, Im trying to do the passenger's side first.

Pic of one of the 4 bolts that hold the engine mount to the engine:

How high are you guys jacking up from the oil pan the manual says no more than 7mm I think I have jacked it more like 2" still cant get it out...

I cant install engine mounts

From memory, once I undid both bolts and supported the engine, I tapped the bolt on the tight side (one of the mount sides has movement to lever it up and down) to pop it out. Once I had it moving I put the other looser sides engine mount bolt back on a few turns and twisted the engine by then jacking it up. The last side was still a pain to do, I ended up grabbing my dad to lower and push the engine into alignment with the bolt hole while I watched from under. It was a really tight fit because there wasn't much movement at all in the new mounts and I remember having to physically push the whole engine down myself when the new mounts wouldn't bend. I got the Mazdaspeed racing versions which are the hardest.

On an NA the right side mounting stud fits into a vertical slot while the left side just has a bolt hole. So when you install a motor you put the left side in first (cos it's a much tighter fit). When you take the motor off the mounts you'd usually get the right side off first.
