Changing Gearbox oil

I have had for many years a metal pump which looks like a large syringe - you simply suck the oil in on the upstroke via plastic pipe attached and expel it by pushing in the plunger. I imagine that these are still available. The plastic tom thumb looks ok and probably very cheap.

Changing Gearbox oil

Just got around to reading more of the posts.I recommend that before tackling any job do some basic research which includes referring to the owners handbook or getting a Haynes or other repair manual - I just bought a Haynes which I could not get out of the library for my bigger car for $38 ex Amazon delivered. The Haynes does have some very useful tips on how to go about things and what tools are recommended for a basic toolkit. As already suggested the Miata site is useful.

I've got one, but it takes a bit of time to pump 2 litres into there. :P nevertheless, useful!
