running rough
I just converted the 96 mx5 back to standard got it running and went for a couple of drives and all seemed well. Went to start it the other day and it idled really rough and does the same when I rev it as well, I changed the ignition leads to new ones but that didn't make a difference, it also smells like its running rich, any ideas?
70 240z done!! Well almost.

Mossy, you had a FFS on that yeah?
If so, did you change the injectors to run the FFS or just use yours standard ones + extra injector?
I'm taking a guess at maybe some wiring has worked loose (unless you used a patch through harness) and your ecu is in limp home mode (do the NA8s have a check engine light?).
Check for an oxygen sensor signal, an injector stuck open (put a screwdriver on the body of each injector, then you ear to the handle, you should hear a clear ticking sound, if it is muffled the injector is stuck open) a vacuum leak from one of themany fittings.
Maybe you have too much fuel pressure (the regulator may be flowing too much)

I ran the stardard injectors but I never got in running right as it was running way rich, maybe it has clogged the cat from then? I couldn't find a loose vacuum hose and I've put in new spark plugs and had the injectors cleaned last week.

What about the throttle body?
Was that relocated to the front of the supercharger?
If so, did you get a new gasket to put it back on the inlet manifold?
I tore mine after doing a couple of mods to the t/b and it was a bit weird for a while (I made a new one out of card).
I'll think about it a bit and If anything comes up I'll yell out.

I played around with the leads and wiggled the leads at the coil pack quite a bit and it ran a bit better then I started it this morning and it runs fine
