I've been looking at these too.
The carbon Fibre version apart from looking gorgeous is no lighter then their non/CF version. What is nice about these though are the bespoke battery holder you can get for them.
I'm also told that Deka batteries are the same as the Braille batteries and are a bit cheaper.

Hello Wun and thank you for your enquiry. Our only retail shop at present is in Brisbane, which wont help you in Melbourne! Postage to Melbourne for 1 battery and 1 mount kit usually runs at $25 although this can fluctuate with transport costs.
An order of 5 batteries would get you a discount of 10% or free delivery whichever you decide. The next shipment of batteries is due in three weeks but I would encourage ordering at your earliest opportunity. As the only distributor here we regularly run out of stock!
How did you hear of The Racing Room and what car are they intended for?
With regards

So im wondering if some dude in brisbane would like to organize the GB??
Go and pick them up for us get the 10% off the price? Then ship them around to the GB people?
Obviously they don't weigh much and they are quite small in size.
We only need 5 people it shouldnt be that hard.
I figure it works out cheper than buying from flyin miata considering the cost of international shipping conversion of AUD to USD at the moment.

The carbon fibre is only replacing a plastic outer which would weigh the same.
The weight saving is due the battery being physically smaller.
My experiences with such batteries is they do not produce enough CCA, nor do they last as long as the original batteries (plus they cost more).

The smaller Oddysey batteries were popular, but kept going flat. You need a larger battery to actually work properly.

Out of curiosity whats the cranking amps on stock panasonic battery?
I might move one size up (but weight savings only become 2.8 kg, starting to be not worth while)
