hey all,
Just after info on boring out a standard throttle body (nb8a).....
Has anyone done this??
Do u need to get a larger butterfly valve once bored out??
Can you run this on the standard computer??
any power gains or better throttle response??
Any info would be great.......i know alot of u QLD prod sport guys have gary stewart build motors- do u run anything like this??

Yes - but the rest of the engine was modified too.

Do u need to get a larger butterfly valve once bored out??
Only if you want you engine to idle normally. :shock: Without a butterfly that fills the TB you will always be passing more air than necessary for idling.

Can you run this on the standard computer??
Yes, kind of - but the other mods to your engine that make this change worthwhile will probably require a piggy back or similar.

any power gains or better throttle response??
If you have not done anything else - possible loss. With a turbo or big cams, etc. you may get a couple of Kw.
