Like the topic says - I'm wondering how this works.....
What are the implications and why?
How does one know which way to adjust it, how much, and what are the results/effects?
Who here is running variable cam gears - and on which cam - intake or exhaust.....?
Variable cam timing gear - how does it work?

I'm talking about adjustable cam gears - as in the gear that attaches to the cam, and is dríven by the timing belt.

It lets you move the torque curve around, good for; if you want to bring boost on earlier, or want more top end instead.
Way to adjust, get onto a dyno and start playing untill you get a setting you like, i've heard advancing the intake and retarding the exhuast a little works good on a turbo'ed MX. Though what \"good\" is i dont know.
Once the new engine goes in i'll be getting mine tuned/ dialled in.
