Interesting... Although it doesn't explain why it's better, it does show that having a bit of length in there is beneficial to just having it "ramming" in. Mind you, their "ram" pod doesn't seem very rammish (if that's a word). It's just the filter sitting there without anything actually trying to force more air into the filter.

Another thing to consider is that they were dynoing the car. I don't know much about dynos, but from what I've seen at mania, they have the fan sitting in front of the car to get air into the intake to simulate it going at speed. Does the velocity of air change as the RPMs increase, or does it just stay at one static speed? Is that speed pretty bloody fast, or is it just fanning air at a reasonable rate? I would think that the faster you would go, the better a ram pod would be, until you reach the "terminal velocity", as such, of the intake, in which case it would just stay at the maximum value?

Hmmm... A mate at work is good friends with the owner of suzitech apparently... might be worth going to him and doing a whole lotta stuff there testing wise one day. I'm sure he'd have something that I could just slap on and test...

Not really getting any closer to a decision, but keep the advice/answers/suggestions/etc coming :D
