I've done a search, but couldn't find any info on this? Do the Turbo MX-5's run a smaller spark plug gap to the NA (naturally asipirated) one's?

If the standard plug for the MX5 is the NGK BKRE6, then the colder plug is the BKRE7 (or the other way around).

Basically you should go one plug temp range cooler to help avoid detonation (along with increased fuelling, 1 deg timing retard for every PSI of boost at each rev range, plus an IC of some kind).....

Yeap, the NGK '7's work well in the SP too. Though mine are still using the stock gap. They fixed my little pinging problem right up.

I run 7s gapped at 1mm in most conditions.

If I ran big boost (over 15ish psi) I found the spark would break down.

For big boost we gap down to .8mm (idle is a bit dodgy when cold with such a low gap) and run an 8

I'm running NGK \"V Power\" range of plugs, only cost a few bucks each and run like a dream.
