ok went back for more boost today at maztech. but when they first put her back on the dyno they noticed it had dropped 15-20 rwkw from the first tune. they then turned the boost up to 9 pound and got it back up to 130 rwkw. but they werent happy. they were going to rip off the exhaust to see if that made a difference as they cant say where those kw's went but they ran out of time.
they are thinking that either they rear muffler has collapsed or is just crap.
so now im going to go get a new exhaust put on. whats the best for a turbo setup? i think my dump is around 2/14'. im thinking of running it mainly straight through to see what the results are.
any ideas anyone?
exhaust for turbo

That would be My Guess too. Or the cat broke up and is in the rear Muffler causing excess back pressure.

well i pulled her apart today, found nothing obvious. i then started looking at the pipe work before the cat. and hello hello im such a dumbass. 1/3.4\" pipe from the dump to the cat. big bottle neck!!! so i replaced that section with 2.5\". tis now a little scary to drive lol it was fairly sharp on a 36 degree day so i would hate to see it in the winter.
i would like to dyno it again but im not driving 2 hours again. i would say it would be in the 135-140 mark considering it was 130 with a serious restriction on it.
thanks for your help guys.

Exactly what I was thinking...
Have you changed wheels/tyres or anything that wffwcts final drive? Or even more pedantic, did you check your tyre pressures and how tightly they strapped the car in?
When results speak for themselves - don't interrupt.

I have heard really good things about Maztech and don't want to suggest anything negative about them, but I'm sure I wasn't the only one who was slighlty surprised by the high numbers you got from 5 psi. I'd say the second reading is accurate, and as you say, the car is pulling harder now with 9psi and 130kW...
Are you going to change the rest of your exhaust? I would go 2.5\" with high flow cat and straight through muffler for a turbo. It'll sound the horn, but not too loud to attract every cop in Dromana!
Glad to see you haven't had any major issues since your install though! I want to be boosted so badly...

Hi Boags, the car feels great now and it did when i first picked it up aswell, but this time it has more torque, even though i have spent alot of money at Maztech i still reckon they are shithot guys that know there stuff, maybe when they first boosted it the wastegate was set but may have slipped over time, i dont know to be honest. had them quite baffled aswell. im going to stay with the 2.25 for now. but yes the exhaust would be the next step to more power which im not really chassing as you can get into trouble pretty quickly now if you know what i mean.
cheers
