If you are doing the clutch yourself (to save $$) get someone to machine the flywheel. This give the new clutch a perfect mating surface, which will reduce the possibility of clutch shudder and gives the clutch plate the best bedding in period for longevity.

Guys and girls, I need some help/suggestion with my NA
Last Saturday, the car's beginning to make these very unhealthy noises everytime I step on the clutch to get into 1st gear and 'reverse'
It's sorta like grinding and dragging ...
It's done 122K and it's been religiously serviced
I don't push hard or thrash it in any way
I fear for my car's health
Maybe a new clutch assembly is in order?

Very hard to diagnose without hearing/feeling it. Does it only happen when you depress the clutch pedal when stationary or does it make the noise as the clutch starts to engage? Doesn't sound like clutch slip though. 
Could be the spigot/input shaft pilot bearing or the throw out/clutch release bearing. At worst it could be a gearbox problem.
In any case, it seems that the engine or gearbox will have to come out to get to the affected area. Might as well replace the clutch while you're there.

Looks like I am getting a new clutch assembly done ($$$) this week.
The prognosis by the auto technician wasn't good, but it is probably due to wear and tear.
Any suggestion as to which parts are good to replace the factory clutch/flywheel/thruster/etc (you get the idea)
Being a newbie, I only know Exedy like those fellas in The Fast and the Furious knows NOS
