Incidentally, I just got my car tuned today - finally! :D

Seems to run very well, currently running 125rwkw at 12psi. I also didn't have to change the fuel pump which made me pretty happy.

Now I just have to work out why the tacho doesn't work anymore! :?:

for those who are interested, deptartment of Transport SA has now got an emmissions testing facility, $450 per test.

So those who were looking to turbo their cars legally may now have a better chance.....perhaps?

Well thats a hell of a lot cheaper than the $6000 the \"recommended engineers\" from the transport sa website told me about 8months ago...

Do you know any more about it? Is that a full on enclosed test ? or just a little sock of the tail pipe, which i imagine would still me a marginal improvement on the little wand they normally use in garages.

Now that i've upgraded brakes and diff, i may have a better chance at legalising 8) ... maybe.. always = more $$$ .. :( those green eyed transport departmental people!!

must admit dont know too much about it. Although from what I've heard, they have two dynos on site and need the car for about 3 hours. If the emissions do not pass you have to come back...another $450 and so on.

I'd reckon you'd still have to go through their vehicle standards section, have the car inspected, engineers report, etc etc.

If anyone does it, let the rest of us know.

I like the way you're thinking
